SRINAGAR: Less than 24 hours after Kashmiri editor
Shujaat Bukhari was gunned down in
Lal Chowk area in the heart of Srinagar, motorcycle-borne terrorists struck again in the city opening fire on a police check post near SMHS hospital on Friday afternoon injuring two cops and two civilians.
Friday’s attack was similar to the terrorists’ modus operandi at Lal Chowk, which is barely five km from SMHS hospital.
Police sources said the three terrorists came on the motorcycle from
Nawab Bazaar side and were proceeding towards Karan Nagar. The two pillion riders fired indiscriminately from their AK47 rifles, critically injuring head constable Habibullah, sources said. A cobbler on the roadside was also injured.
