Overnight newly released 911 calls from drivers detailing the moments after bullets ripped through that windshields, windows and doors on a busy highway. What makes you say someone shot at you? Well, I have two bullet holes in my windows. Reporter: Authorities say a shooter unloaded on four cars from the side of the road Wednesday. Did you hear any gunshots? All I heard was a pow when it went through my windshield and glass everywhere. Reporter: Amazingly no one hurt and authorities swarmed the area shutting down the highway and a nearby runway but the suspect got away. Detectives now canvassing this neighborhood with metal detectors searching for shell casings. They're hoping that will connect them to the gunman. Does it appear the shooter was targeting specific drivers or totally random. It's indicating that it was random because none of these four vehicles had anything to do with each other except for they were traveling the same direction on the same freeway at the same time. Reporter: As authorities continue to try to get this shooter behind bars, we're told they are looking at ballistics tests trying to figure out the type of gun used, Michael. Will, do we know anything more about those other shots fired? Reporter: So, we know that back on June 6th there was a report of shots fired in this area to the sheriff's department. Authorities now are trying to find out if there is a link between these two reports, Michael. All right, will Carr, thank you very much for that.
