The Relay For Life of Tuscarawas County will take place from noon to 10 p.m. June 23 at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds, 259 S. Tuscarawas Ave., Dover.
The opening ceremony will kick off at noon with the Rev. Bert Bryant offering opening prayer, the national anthem being sung by Kristen Bias and inspirational words being offered by U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs, R-Lakeview, and wrapping up with a team lap and photos.
Fun laps, team activities, survivor activities, inflatables and food trucks will be offered in the midway throughout the day. A Chinese auction will take place from 12:30 to 5 p.m. near the Grange Building, and a silent auction will take place from 5 to 8 p.m.
All survivors are invited and encouraged to attend the survivor dinner at 5 p.m. under the grandstands. The closing ceremony will begin at 9 p.m. and will include a special highlighted survivor speaker offering her story, the Geib Funeral Home Luminaria Ceremony and a survivor/caregiver lap. The event will end with a celebration dance.
