New Aquaman stills feature fiercer Jason Momoa, introduce Nicole Kidman

Our first good look at Jason Momoa as Aquaman in his solo movie is here. And he looks even more swole than before.

After getting fans excited with the first stills from Wonder Woman 1984, DC revealed seven new pictures from the upcoming solo Aquaman film. The stills introduce Nicole Kidman has Queen Atlanna, bring back a more buff Jason Momoa as Aquaman and the stunning Amber Heard as Mera.

Entertainment Weekly shared the exclusive images with their magazine cover on Thursday. The cover features Momoa, Kidman and Heard floating underwater in Atlantis.

One still features Kidman holding a baby, another shows Heard and Momoa in civilian outfits, searching for something with a map. Villain Black Manta, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, is also introduced in a picture and Patrick Wilson is revealed as Aquaman’s half brother, Ocean Master Orm. The final photo shows director James Wan directing his actors Heard and Momoa.

This will be the second time we see Momoa as Aquaman. He previously featured in 2017’s Justice League with Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Ben Affleck’s Batman, Henry Cavill’s Superman and Ezra Miller’s Flash.

Aquaman will release on December 21, 2018.
