Ahead of Eid, DGP covers 6km on foot in Old Lucknow

LUCKNOW: A day ahead of Eid, UP DGP OP Singh conducted a 6km march in Old City along with senior police officers.
The march began from Bada Imambara at 5.30pm and culminated at Aishbagh Eidgah at 6.30pm, covering a distance of 6km.

ADG (law & order) Anand Kumar, ADG (Lucknow zone) Rajeev Krishna, IG (Lucknow range) Sujeet Pandey and SSP Lucknow Depak Kumar were also part of the march. During the march, the police officials interacted with people residing in Old City areas. Along with personnel from the Rapid Action Force, the officials checked preparations ahead of the festival. Singh also said that he had accepted the Prime Minister's fitness challenge given to him through social media and the march was also a way to meet the challenge.

Singh had also asked all district police chiefs, inspector generals and additional director generals to follow it in their areas.
