Zim: Ex-Zanu-PF official to lose 'grabbed' farm to former white owner – report
Former Zanu-PF youth leader Kudzai Chipanga is reportedly set to lose his farm after Zimbabwean authorities said that they are "planning to give it back to its previous white owner".
According to NewsDay, a letter dated May 31 from the Makoni district land committee recommended that Chipanga's Wakefield farm be returned to its previous owner, only identified as Mr Dawson, "while awaiting to give the farm to Manicaland State University".
A Zanu-PF delegation recently toured the farm and told workers that the farm's ownership had changed.

Opposition MDC 'is Zimbabwe's Renamo', claims war vets leader - report
Zimbabwe's war veterans leader Victor Matematanda has reportedly equated the main opposition, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) Alliance to Mozambique's rebel group Renamo.
Matematanda said this as he warned the ruling Zanu-PF party members against working with the opposition.
Renamo fought a 16-year civil war against Mozambique's ruling Frelimo party until 1992 and then emerged as an opposition party that still retained its armed fighters.

Zimbabwe opens candidate nomination ahead of July polls
Zimbabwe fired the starting pistol for election campaigning on Thursday when it formally opened the nomination process to presidential hopefuls ahead of polls due on July 30.
The election will be a key test for President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who succeeded long-serving autocrat Robert Mugabe after a brief military takeover in November and remains untested at the ballot box.
Candidates seeking to contest next month's presidential, parliamentary and local polls have just one day to submit their candidacy to one of several specially convened electoral courts across the country.
