Arsenal transfer news: Official club tweet sends fans wild over Lucas Torreira
ARSENAL sent their fans wild today after tweeting about the World Cup.
Egypt play Uruguay in Friday’s first match of the day with midfielder Mohamed Elneny handed a start.
The Gunners’ official Twitter account reacted by sending a good luck message which read: “The team news is in from Yekaterinburg... and @ElNennY starts for #EGY against #URU All the best, Mo.”
But the response only served to stoke supporters into life as they all reacted by talking about one man - Lucas Torreira.
The Sampdoria midfielder, 22, is closing in on a move to the Gunners and fans were looking forward to seeing him in action for Uruguay.

His omission from the Uruguay side did not go unnoticed as they rushed to bombard Arsenal with messages.
“Torreira doesnt start , announce that too admin,” wrote one.
Another said: “I need a picture of him welcoming Torreira after the match.”
“Don't forget Lucas Torreira on bench for #URU,” replied a fellow fan while another Gooner tweeted: “What about Torreira?”

The club were even accused of having an agenda with one writing back: “Nothing said about Torreira ? Disgusting agenda.”
“Announce Torreira during half time,” pleaded another fan.
Despite no announcement being made it’s understood are closing in on the signing of Torreira for £26million.
They are current discussing personal terms with representatives of the midfielder, who has also interested Napoli.
