Arsenal transfer news: Unai Emery told to forget Bernd Leno and sign this star instead
ARSENAL boss Unai Emery should look to sign England goalkeeper Jack Butland instead of Bayer Leverkusen No 1 Bernd Leno.
That is the opinion of former Arsenal midfielder turned pundit Stewart Robson.
Leno has been linked with a move to the Gunners in recent weeks.
Some reports even claim a deal is near to completion for the German.
But Robson does not think Leno is the answer to Arsenal’s problems between the sticks.

I would go for Jack Butland if you were looking at those two goalkeepers
He reckons Stoke’s Butland would be a better option to become the new No 1 at the Emirates.
“I would go for Jack Butland if you were looking at those two goalkeepers,” Robson told ESPN FC.
“Bernd Leno I’m not sure is a fantastic goalkeeper.
“We’ve seen (Loris) Karius come to the Premier League and not do particularly well.

“Petr Cech hasn’t played particularly well, he looks slightly over the hill.
“(David) Ospina I think is a decent goalkeeper but I think they’re looking for a No 1.
“Butland could fit the bill.”
