After her short tenure on Kevin Can Wait, Leah Remini has officially booked her next TV role.

Remini has joined an untitled comedy pilot from Rob McElhenney and Rob Rosell, the team behind It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, says The Hollywood Reporter. The show revolves around a woman, her ex-husband and her new wife, who all work together to raise a family in middle America. A conservative lesbian living in the deep red territory of Trump's America? That's comedy gold!

Remini's character, Jean, considers herself a patriot who loves her country and, like most conservatives, firmly believes in everyone's right to be left alone. Though her political beliefs line up with that of the conservative party, she lives a very progressive lifestyle with her wife, Betty. To make matters more complicated, Jean and Betty raise their two sons with the boys' father, Richie, Jean's ex-husband who lives in their garage.

Um, awkward.

The roles of Richie and Betty have not yet been cast, and the show, if it gets picked up, is likely to air sometime in 2019.

Fox has leaned more towards conservative programming as part of its transformation between seasons, picking up Last Man Standing after it was canceled by ABC and ordering three new multicamera comedies.
