De Gea staying?
Manchester United look to have survived another summer onslaught on David de Gea.
Real Madrid appear to have agreed terms with Roma goalkeeper Alisson, leaving Manchester United safely with goalkeeper De Gea.
De Gea was believed to be new Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui’s top target.
However Mundo Deportivo claims Madrid have now agreed a deal with Alisson, and just need to agree a few with Roma.
But they are said to be some distance from Roma in their valuation of the player.
Liverpool baulked at Roma’s £80m asking price and have moved to other targets.
Real Madrid though are now expected to push through a deal for the Brazil No 1.
Alisson is said to have agreed a six-year deal with the European champions.
Real’s offer to Roma currently stands at £52m, while the Italians are holding out for £69.9m.
West Ham eye Chris Smalling
West Ham are monitoring Chris Smalling’s situation, according to the Metro.
Smalling’s Manchester United future is uncertain with Jose Mourinho looking at Toby Alderweireld.
United want to land a new centre-back this summer with the Tottenham man his top target.
And that puts Smalling’s future in doubt.
West Ham are looking to add more defenders this summer and have made Smalling their top target.
Arsenal knocked back
Chelsea have rejected a bid from Arsenal for David Luiz.
The Brazilian defender has been out of favour under Antonio Conte for much of the season, but Chelsea still seem keen to keep him.
French publication Le10Sport have claimed Arsenal lodged a £17m bid for the defender.
But it has been turned down and they must decide if they want to make another offer.

Man Utd bid to keep Martial
Manchester United are desperate to keep Anthony Martial from leaving.
Martial wants to quit the club following a frustrating season at Old Trafford.
The forward has failed to gain the trust of Mourinho and wants out, with his agent revealing he was looking to move this summer.
But United want to keep him and hope to agree a new contract with him.
Salah to Barcelona?
Mohamed Salah is on Barcelona’s radar after the big snub from Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann yesterday announced he will stay at Atletico, snubbing a summer move to the Nou Camp.
Griezmann, 27, made a television documentary called 'La Decision’, where he revealed all on his plans.
And according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Liverpool superstar Salah is being lined up as a replacement for the Atletico hitman.
They reckon Barca want Salah to partner Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez up front at the Nou Camp next season.
Don Balon add that Messi has backed Barca’s move for the Egypt international this summer.
