Indigo Paints signs MS Dhoni as brand ambassador

MUMBAI: Pune-based decorative paint maker Indigo Paints has signed cricketer and Chennai Super Kings’ captain MS Dhoni as the company’s first brand ambassador for the next three years.
Dhoni will feature in all the marketing and promotional campaigns of Indigo Paints, which has planned to spend over Rs 200 crore on advertising in three years. “We are a relatively young company, but are growing at a 40-45% CAGR over the last 10 years. Now, we are looking at further strengthening our brand and Dhoni was the perfect choice,” Hemant Jalan, managing director at Indigo Paints, told ET.
Jalan said Indigo’s journey has been similar to that of Dhoni’s, who rose from a small town to touch cricketing heights. “We feel that his persona is an excellent fit for our brand,” Jalan said.
