Arsenal transfer news: Major Jean-Michael Seri update revealed by agent
ARSENAL transfer target Jean-Michael Seri is being chased by two Premier League clubs.
That’s according to the Nice midfielder’s agent, Franklin Mala, who’s revealed his client will be on his way to Napoli if he gets his way.
Seri is one of this summer’s hottest properties after turning plenty of heads with a strong season in the south of France.
Arsenal are interested in getting him on-board as Sven Mislintat and Raul Sanllehi freshen up the squad Unai Emery took charge of last month.
Mala has now refused to discuss the Gunners’ prospects of snaring Seri while suggesting they are one of two Premier League clubs pursuing him.
And he’s dropped a bombshell by revealing the 26-year-old fancies swapping Nice for Napoli ahead of next season.
"We hope to have positive news in the next fews hours in Naples," Mala told Italian outlet CalcioNapoli24.
"Informal contacts with Napoli, there is still no lunge from De Laurentiis’ company.

"We are ready to meet Napoli. Napoli is in pole position.
"Seri prefers the Piazza di Napoli compared to others, all in such a way as to close the negotiation.
"The €40m (£35m) termination clause expires on July 15, so you have to pay it by this date. After July 15, Nice can ask for any amount.
"Arsenal? No, I do not want to talk about it. There are two teams of the Premier [League] on Seri.
"I cannot say anything else. Image rights are not an obstacle."
Arsenal have also got Sampdoria ace Lucas Torreira in their sights as they look to bolster their midfield.
Defenders Caglar Soyuncu and Sokratis Papastathopoulos are being tracked by Mislintat and Sanllehi too.
