Udacity looks to double down on enterprise game

The firm has also partnered with around 100 firms including Flipkart, HCL, Myntra, Tata Elxsi, Ola, Swiggy and Zomato to be the hiring partners.
Udacity, an online education platform, is doubling down on working with enterprises to both upskill employees and also add more hiring partners in India. Its enterprise clients include IT giants like Infosys and Wipro to new age companies like Flipkart and Myntra.

The firm has also partnered with around 100 firms including Flipkart, HCL, Myntra, Tata Elxsi, Ola, Swiggy and Zomato to be the hiring partners. In the first half of 2018, Udacity has done more than twice the enterprise business revenue it posted in 2017.

“We are a consumer-focused company, but over the last year, we have also built capabilities to allow companies like Infosys and others to skill up their own employees,” chief executive Vishal Makhijani said. “Students are ultimately concerned about their job prospects, so the companies play a huge role. Having an inside track, you get to have a first-hand feedback on the skills that are in demand.”

The company had also partnered with Infosys to offer an online-offline integrated self-driving car engineer reskill programme.
