ACA Volunteer League summer luncheon
The Atlantic Center for the Arts Volunteer League will meet at noon Wednesday, June 20, at Flagler Tavern, 414 Flagler Ave., New Smyrna Beach, to brainstorm fundraising ideas, sign-up for activities and increase awareness for ACA's programming. Halifax Sport Fishing Club meeting and seminar
The Halifax Sport Fishing Club welcomes Capt. Billy Pettigrew, owner and operator or Com'N'Getti Fishing Charters, as the guest speaker for its seminar 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 21, at 3431 S. Water quality panel
Deb Denys, Volusia County Vice Chair and Indian River Lagoon Council Vice Chair will host a water quality panel from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 21, in the Dennis R. McGee room at the Daytona Beach International Airport, 700 Catalina Drive. There will be five panelists and four presentations followed by a q-and-a session. Porchdogs to perform at Port Orange library
The Porchdogs will bring their own brand of Louisiana Cajun and zydeco music to the Port Orange Regional Library, 1005 City Center Circle, at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22. The trio has had repeat long-term engagements at Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando and other theme parks. They also perform regularly at the Iron Horse Saloon during Bike Week and Biketoberfest. The free concert is sponsored by the Friends of the Port Orange Regional Library.
