The alleged murderer of prominent rights activist Charanjit was arrested in on Thursday.

The alleged killer, identified as Sheheryar Sultan, confessed to the killing.

The 42-year-old Singh, an inter-faith harmony advocate, was killed in broad daylight on May 29. A lone gunman barged into his grocery store and shot him, reported the Express Tribune.
