Rajkot: A total of 11,496 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) worth Rs 47.69 lakh were seized from a truck and the driver was arrested from Rajkot-Ahmedabad highway near Chotila in Surendranagar district on Thursday.
Police identified the accused as Pannaram Jaat (48) from Rajasthan. During interrogation, Jaat said that Haryana-based bootlegger Kishansinh Sodha had loaded the liquor supply on the truck which was meant to be transported to Rajkot where it was supposed to be delivered to another bootlegger.

“We are investigating to find out who was the bootlegger in Rajkot who was supposed to take delivery of the liquor supply,” said state vigilance sub-inspector N G Solanki.
