Dancing uncle Sanjeev Srivastava shakes a leg with Govinda, Madhuri Dixit. See pics

Till last month, Sanjeev Shrivastava was a common man from Bhopal - an assistant professor of electronics at a private engineering institute who once wanted to become a dancer.

Dabbu Uncle, as he is fondly known, became an internet sensation earlier this month when the video of his dance at a wedding went viral. He has now met Salman Khan, Madhuri Dixit and his idol, Govinda!

Sanjeev had said that his dream is to share the stage with Govinda and he got his dream fulfilled on TV show Dance Deewane. “I am a huge fan of Govinda and it has been my dream to be able to dance with Govindaji on the same stage. Since I have shown my passion for dance in the video, Dance Deewane has been a blessing to make this dream of mine come true on such a large scale. I’m very excited and thankful to COLORS for being supportive of me,” Sanjeev said in a press statement.

Dance Deewane is judged by Madhuri Dixit, Shashank Khaitan and Tushar Kalia. Sanjeev also grooved along with the dancing diva of Bollywood.

Earlier this week, Sanjeev also met Salman Khan on the sets of his game show Dus Ka Dum where he made the host dance to his tunes. Salman was also eager to know Sanjeev’s story and the latter revealed that last year his younger brother died in an unfortunate train accident. The unfortunate incident left his mother in a trauma and she has neither left home not smiled ever since, he said.

A year later, when Sanjeev’s video got viral, things changed for better. His mom stepped out of her house for the first time recently after hearing a lot of people gather around the house. They were discussing Sanjeev’s viral video, which she watched and even smiled after watching it.

Sanjeev said, “I don’t want any money from anyone for this video. I am happy that people are enjoying it. I am grateful that people liked my video. It is because of the response I received for the video, my mother came down and saw the video. This made her smile. I was dying to see her cheerful face. I am happy that her smile is back and this will eventually help her to get over my younger brother’s untimely demise.”
