Skywalk connecting LuLu Mall with Metro station opens

KOCHI: LuLu Mall, Edappally, will become the first business establishment to connect with Kochi Metro. A skywalk connecting the mall with Metro station will be opened for public at 11am on Thursday.
This connectivity is expected to bring down vehicular traffic at the busy Edappally Junction. The skywalk will be operational from 9am to 10pm. The policy of Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) on interconnection was approved by the 25th meeting of board of directors held on November 30, 2016. Other business establishments like Chennai Silks are also in the process of connecting with Metro through skywalk. As per the policy, the entire cost of connectivity, including civil work, lighting, additional lifts, ticketing office and security cabins and any other modifications or alterations works are borne by the establishment connecting with the Metro.
