Riding on the success of the recent double podium result at the 2018 Dakar Rally, Toyota South Africa revealed its limited edition Hilux Dakar in the Northern Cape.
Based on the Raider models in the range, the Dakar is available exclusively in either 'xtra' cab or double-cab configurations. Buyers can choose between the 2.8 litre turbodiesel or 4.0-litre V6 petrol engines.
The icing on the cake was one of the South Africa's most decorated racing drivers, Giniel de Villiers, was also at the launch testing his manic Hilux racing bakkie for the upcoming Botswana desert race.
