KANPUR:A female swimming coach, was allegedly bullied on board the
Gorakhdham express near Delhi on late Wednesday night. An FIR has been registered at the GRP (Government Railway Police) Kanpur Central following a complaint by the swimming coach -Nikita Yadav, a native of Hardoi under various sections including 323 of IPC (
Indian Penal Code).
Yadav in her complaint alleged she was assaulted by a group of three to four passengers including a woman over a seat dispute while she was travelling in the sleeper coach of the
Gorakhpur bound -Gorakhdham express after the train left Delhi for onward journey on Wednesday night.
“Nikita, who is a native of Hardoi stated in her complaint that she was assaulted by a woman co-passenger identified as Nisha and the latters male counterparts over a seat. Nikita was travelling alone and was on way to Gorakhpur. No arrest has been made and further investigations are underway," said inspector GRP Ram Mohan Rai who added that an FIR has also been lodged by the opposite party against the female swimming coach and further investigations are underway to corroborate the claim and counterclaim."
