The Jaguar F-Type SVR has been crafted to perfection. The design evokes a sense of power and builds a rather emotional connect thanks to the intuitive design language and sensory craftsmanship that the car boasts of. The engineers at JLR’s Special Vehicle Operations division have scrutinised every possible component of the F-Type SVR to ensure that it maximizes on performance parameters.
The interiors of the car have been crafted from the finest of materials and there is a lot of smart weight saving material used as well. This includes the lightweight magnesium construction of the seats which have helped save eight kilograms as compared to its predecessor. The detailing is exquisite and also works to bring out that sporty appeal that this incredible machine boasts of.
Bearing the true essence of a performance machine, Jaguar has equipped the F-Type SVR with a 5.0 litre supercharged V8 engine that produces 575 PS of power and a stunning 700 Nm of peak torque. What this translates to is the fact that the F-Type SVR can go from 0-100km/h in just 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 322 km/h!
Getting those performance parameters isn’t easy and Jaguar has had to work at reducing the overall weight of the car as compared to its predecessor. The new F-Type SVR uses a Titanium and Inconel exhaust system that has helped save 16 kilograms and the forged 20 inch alloys save an additional 13.8 kilograms as compared to its predecessor. The car now employs a larger rear bearing that offers an increased stiffness of up to 37 per cent higher than the conventional F-Type rear knuckles.
Playing a vital role in ensuring that the F-Type SVR can hit those speeds with minimum drag is the V-Max mode that the car comes equipped with. In addition to that, the car also benefits from the wider Pirelli P-Zero tyres that offer improved grip and stability.
