Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao said that the State has been transformed as power surplus within two years of formation and this was made possible with the vision of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
After inaugurating two sub-stations and laying foundation stone for another substation at Patancheru constituency on Wednesday, Mr. Harish Rao said that as much as ₹ 10,000 crore was spent on power sector to improve the conditions and in Sangareddy district alone about ₹ 535 crore was spent for this purpose.
While directing the Collector to allot site for the construction of sub-stations at Ramachandrapuram and Tellapur, he has also promised to sanction substations at Lakdaram and Nagulapally.
Lok Sabha member K. Prabhakar Reddy said that better facilities would be created at the constituency as it has become part of Hyderabad. MLA G. Mahipal Reddy and others participated in the programme.
