TROY - Plans to build a massive warehouse in Schodack are among the items the Rensselaer County Industrial Development Agency will discuss at a meeting Thursday afternoon.
The 1,015,740-square-foot facility with 93 loading docks, and parking for 300 tractor trailers would be located on vacant land between Route 9 and Interstate 90.
The project's developer, Scannell Properties, of Indianapolis, says the warehouse could employee up to 1,250 employees. Scannell Properties has not revealed the potential tenants for the warehouse.
The 116-acre site is between Hillcrest and Birchwood Estates neighborhoods, where some residents are concerned over potential impacts on traffic and noise.
The IDA meeting will begin at 4 p.m. The agency's office is in Troy' Quackenbush Building at 333 Broadway.
