ATTLEBORO — Bishop Connolly junior Benjamin Walz, competing in his first decathlon, took 32nd place at the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association South Sectional meet recently at Bishop Feehan High School.

Walz scored 4,071 points over the 10 events. Teammate Samuel Harstad, a senior, scored 2,885 points.

Somerset Berkley Regional sent six athletes to the meet. Here is how the Raiders finished:

Junior Zack Reeve (41st, 3944 points; best event finish, 1500 meters, 11th, 4:43).

Sophomore Bryce Garretson (44th, 3746 points; shot put, 18th, 30-8.25).

Junior Derek Slack (45th, 3710 points; high jump, 12th, 5 feet, 4 inches).

Junior Nick Medeiros (48th, 3604 points; 400 meters, 23rd, 54.78).

Junior Shane Neto (54th, 3464 points; 4th in both shot put [41-1) and discus [99-2]).

Junior Santiago Abrill (63rd, 3068 points; 110-meter hurdles, 26th, 19.06).
