District Collector K. Amrapali has issued orders placing under suspension two village revenue officers (VROs) and a revenue inspector (RI) in Elkaturthy mandal of Warangal Urban district following alleged irregularities and negligence of duties in land regularisation.
Revenue inspector M. Sridhar and VROs S. Chandramouli and S. Thirupathi of Jeelugula and Bavupet villages respectively were placed under suspension.
The Collector on Tuesday visited the office of tahsildar at Elkaturthy and found that the VROs in question committed irregularities in exercising their duties in land records updation programme (LRUP) in their respective villages due to which illegal pattadar passbooks and title deeds were generated.
RI Sridhar was accused of not attending to his duties and failure to supervise the subordinate staff who issued illegal passbooks and title deeds.
The suspended personnel were asked not leave the place of work without prior permission of the officials at the Collectorate.
