MARGAO:
Margao town police on Wednesday arrested Kausander Anamal, a resident of Azad Nagar, Margao, after he was found in possession of 170 grams of
ganja worth nearly Rs 52,000.
Acting on specific information, police sources said that the accused would come to sell ganja to a customer near ESI hospital, Margao. Based on this, the police sent a decoy customer to purchase the “consignment” from him.
Wary of being caught, the accused asked the decoy customer to show him the money first before he handed over the consignment.
While the decoy customer kept the accused engaged in negotiations, the police team that laid in wait, nabbed the accused red-handed in possession of the banned narcotic substance.
