WHO: Matthew Hearn, 40, of Claymont, who works in IT for Corporation Service Co.

WHY: He was nominated by John Crossan, who says, “Matt is a dedicated husband and father of three adorable kids. In addition to keeping up with his busy life, he always looks smart and takes his style to a level above the ordinary. I know he’ll serve as an inspiration to many dads out there.”

HIS STYLE: “A flashier James Bond. I wear more accessories and color than 007 would.”

WEARING, at home with his children, Charles, 12; Josephine, 9; and William, 6:

FIRST OUTFIT — Lee dark denim jeans; Express charcoal gray cotton long-sleeve sports shirt; brown leather stitched cowboy boots by Ariat; Nautica watch with black face and silver-tone bracelet band.

SECOND OUTFIT — Charles Tyrwhitt red checked shirt; Croft and Barrow gray trousers; blue-patterned Chaps jacket; red silk pocket square; and brown leather Chuka boots by Alberto Fellini (“I found them at Foreman Mills for $25”).

THIRD OUTFIT — Gray two-piece suit by Nautica from Boscov’s; blue checked Charles Tyrwhitt shirt; Merona green and blue diagonal striped silk tie; purple and green paisley pocket square; black oxford dress shoes from Joseph Abboud; and black and brown reversible leather belt with silver buckle.

WHERE HE SHOPS: Boscov’s, Foreman Mills and Burlington Coat Factory “where I can find nice clothes at a bargain." For shirts, he goes online to order from Charles Tyrwhitt, the British clothier. “French cuffs, a big neck and long arms, that’s for me.”

HOW HE SHOPS: “I go in and out in a hurry.”

FASHION ICON(S): Actors Daniel Craig and George Clooney. “I like Clooney’s understated suits in Oceans Eleven.”

MOST RECENT PURCHASE: A blue-and-white seersucker sportscoat from Burlington Coat Factory for a wedding in Key West.

OLDEST ITEM IN HIS CLOSET: “A shirt with bottles of alcohol printed on it my father brought back from Bermuda in the 1980s. It creeps my wife out because when I wear it I look exactly like my father.”

GROOMING TIPS: “I make sure my eyebrows don’t get out of control. Other than staying clean and putting on deodorant, that’s it.”

BEST FOOT FORWARD: “I have more shoes than most guys. If I am wearing jeans, I am in cowboy boots. I only wear sneakers if I am exercising or at a Phillies game and my son is dragging me throughout the stadium.”

FAVORITE COLOR: Blue. “My wife likes the way it makes my eyes look.”

FAVORITE FRAGRANCE: “I’m a singer and we typically stay away from fragrances that can have an impact on our sinuses. I do have a hair and body gel that is mildly minty, Paul Mitchell Tea Tree.”

WORTH THE SPLURGE: Tailor-made shirts. “I have spent more on shirts than suits.”

NOT WORTH THE SPLURGE: Ties. “I paid $60 for a tie and then dripped butter on it.”

WISH I HADN’T BOUGHT IT: “I bought an Apple watch I felt obligated to wear because it was so expensive. I almost felt relieved when the glass broke.”

ORGANIZATION TIPS: “It’s a challenge in our house. I have two bars in my closet so I can keep pants on one and shirts on the other. When I put clean clothes in the closet, I hang them on the right side. At the end of the year, I look at the left side and I can see what I haven’t worn.”

FASHION NO-NO: “It bugs me that people don’t dress up much anymore. When I go to church, I wear a jacket.”

BEST CELEBRITY HAIR: “George Clooney, again. Salt and pepper, perfectly cut. He looked exceptional at the royal wedding.”

GO-TO OUTFIT ON SATURDAY NIGHT: “A blue checked sport coat, a nice, flashy pocket square, nice slacks and brown loafers.”

FASHION EVOLUTION: “Fashion didn’t mean anything to me until I got into college, and even then I was pretty pathetic. I remember the first version of 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy' and they would take these hopeless guys and turn them around. That got me thinking about how I could improve.”

THOUGHTS ON AGING: “I have a baby face, no wrinkles. But I’m concerned about the shape of my body, which has fluctuated over the years.”

INDISPENSABLE WARDROBE ITEM: “One decent suit in a dark color.”

ACE ACCESSORY: Pocket squares.

BOWTIE OR STRAIGHT TIE? “I have both but I generally wear a straight tie. A bowtie exposes more of my shirt, which means more of my middle shows.”

BELT OR SUSPENDERS? Belt. “Pants don’t look right without a buckle in front.”

DENIM, LEATHER OR TWEED? Denim.

WHY FASHION IS IMPORTANT: “First impressions are a big thing. If you show up for a job interview in a T-shirt and torn shorts you are not going to get that job. I would feel uncomfortable being out without making some effort at looking my best in public.”
