On June 1, I was invited to attend kindergarten graduation for my great-niece at Baden Academy. The graduation ceremony is held in the auditorium at the Villa Saint Joseph complex in Baden, where parking is at a minimum, so school officials ask those attending school events to park their vehicles at the nearby Walmart and school buses will be provided to take them to the event(s).
On this particular day, there was bus transportation available to the ceremony, which was very well attended, and after the graduation was over, the first full bus left for Walmart. The remaining people waited at the school for a ride back to their vehicles, and they waited and they waited. So, my niece's husband and I decided after at least 25 minutes that we had better start walking to our cars. We were in the Northern Lights parking lot and just started up the hill when a man called out to us and asked if we were from Baden Academy. He had walked to Walmart to get his vehicle and someone picked him up, so he paid it forward and gave us a ride up that long hill.
I just want to thank that man again for his kindness. With all the terrible things that we hear about everyday, it makes us not believe that there is still good in the world. There is.
