TRACK AND FIELD: Somerset Berkley's Kathryn Sullivan seventh in South heptathlon

HINGHAM – Somerset Berkley Regional junior Kathryn Sullivan finished seventh at the Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association South Sectional Heptathlon Championships on Monday and Tuesday at Notre Dame Academy.

Sullivan finished with 3,309 points, 11 points behind the sixth-place finisher, Sabrina Hauer of North Attleboro. Mackenzie Condon of Martha’s Vineyard won with 4,209 points.

SBR junior Caitlin Lourenco took 40th place with 2,321 points and SBR sophomore Fiona Lyons was close behind, 43rd place with 2,261 points.

The heptathlon consists of seven events: shot put, javelin, 100-meter hurdles, 200 meters, high jump, long jump, and 800 meters.

Approximately 80 athletes competed.
