Targets the same man who was shot at a few days ago in Gurugram

Days after Human Resource Department head of Japanese company Sical India was shot at, an anonymous letter to the management of the firm has directed them to sack the official or face the consequences.

A case has been registered on charges of criminal intimidation in this connection.

Firm given 15 days

The anonymous letter, addressed to the plant head, said that the Mistuba Sical India staff was “requested” to sack Dinesh Kumar Sharma, who was shot at while on his way to office on June 7.

The letter warned that Mr. Sharma’s colleagues would be in trouble if the organisation did not adhere to the demands. The letter went on to say that the firm’s management has 15 days to comply.

It added, that another “Sharma” was also on the target list.

Bilaspur Station House Officer Inspector Arun Kumar said that the letter was received on Monday.

He said that the matter was under investigation.

Meanwhile, two persons have already been arrested in connection with the attack on Mr. Sharma. Two otheres are absconding.

Mr. Kumar, 50, was on his way to his office in Pathreri village on June 7 when two men on a motorcycle opened fire at him at Bilaspur Chowk.

The assailants targetted his head, but the car jumped over the speed breaker and the bullet missed the target and hit Mr. Sharma’s back.

Mr. Sharma’s family said that Joginder, who was sacked from the company three months ago, had been issuing threats to him.

Joginder is a resident of neighbouring Rathiwas village and worked as an apprentice in the company. Mr.

Mr. Sharma was also issued death threat a day before the attack, the family claimed.

Following the attack, the NCR Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gurugram, sought increased security for industrialists in the area.

Haryana PWD Minister Rao Narbir Singh had also visited the injured official at Rockland Hospital.
