Delaware had a total of 3,652 white-tailed deer in 2009, according to the most recent aerial infrared survey.

There were 1,208 groups of deer in 17 zones.

Zone 5, which includes Leipsic and Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, had the fewest deer with 61, and Zone 14, near Millsboro, had the most with 608.
