South Africa's World Cup-winning captain, John Smit, believes that his former Saracens’ team-mates, fellow hookers, Schalk Brits and Jamie George, will have a ‘master and apprentice battle with edge’, as they look to come out on top for, respectively, the Springboks and England. The shock call-up for Brits on Monday has led to the ‘unique’ situation as Smit sees it of two players who are ‘more like family than team-mates’, possibly going head-to-head either in the second Test in Bloemfontein on Saturday or in Cape Town seven days later.
