Vijay Sethupathi’s Junga trailer is equal parts action and fun. Watch video

Junga had Vijay Sethupathi playing a don but it is only now, that the Junga trailer has landed, that we have realised that this don could be so hilarious. Vijay Sethupathi’s character is a crime boss who has enemies in high places, he hails from a town in south of Tamil Nadu who ends up in Paris fighting the Russian mob. Junga trailer begins with a shot of him saying, “it is not right to push someone down to get to the top. However, it is better to go to top and ask them respectfully to step aside.”

Along with action, we get a generous dose of humour too. Instances of Junga being the stingy don, or of him pursuing Sayesshaa to use her as a collateral are all presented with humour primarily.

Vijay Sethupathi’s comic timings are great and even better is the fact that the action sequences look good too. They are not your run-of-the-mill stunts, because even car chases are hilarious.

Yogi Babu, the comedian who is currently enjoying the attention for his song Kalyana Vayasu from Kolamaavu Kokila, also plays a supporting role in the film. Madonna Sebastian, who was earlier expected to do a cameo in the film, appears to have a full fledged role.

Junga is directed by Gould and produced by Arun Pandian, Dr K Ganesan, Vijay Sethupathi and Rajesh Kumar.

Vijay Sethupathi is busy with multiple projects including Karthik Subbaraj and Rajinikanth’s film. He will be seen playing the role of woman in Super Deluxe and he will be seen in Trisha starrer 96. The actor is also playing an important role in his debut Telugu film, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
