AP CM urges NITI Aayog to reschedule governing council meet

: N Chandrababu today urged Aayog to defer its meeting, scheduled for June 17, to the next day in view of Ramzan festivities.

"As Chief Minister, I am required to be present in the state capital for these festivities. So, please postpone the meeting either to the 18th or at least 17th afternoon," wrote.

A Telugu release from the CMO said the reviewed with senior officials the issues to be raised in the Aayog GC meeting.

He directed officials to prepare a detailed report on the state bifurcation-related issues, fund flow for various Central projects, special financial assistance for backward districts and the quantum of assistance being extended to the state for various centrally-sponsored schemes.

Ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, K Kala Venkat Rao, K Atchannaidu, of Anil Chandra Punetha and other senior officials attended.
