The police have launched a probe into the distribution of pamphlets in Devaswompadam near Varappuzha by a group allegedly owing affiliation to the Maoists.
On police brutality
Officials said the pamphlets distributed by a group comprising 12 members, called for self defence against police brutality. It also details the cases of police brutality in the State and seeks to uphold the need for the citizen’s right to self defence.
The group, comprising people mostly from Northern Kerala, is reportedly headed by the daughter of a Maoist leader from Kerala.
