With Ramzan, the Islamic month of fasting, in its last phase, political leaders are scurrying up to organise Iftars- the evening meal with which Muslims break their fast at sunset during the holy month.

The list of invitees include former Pranab Mukherjee, ex Hamid Ansari, patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav, Nationalist Sharad Pawar, (Marxist) Sitaram Yechury, and (RJD) among others.
