Mervin L. Korb, 96, of Baden, died Sunday, June 10, 2018, at home. Born April 14, 1922, in Big Run, Pa., a son of the late Louis and Mary Korb, he was retired from J&L Steel. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Ambridge, and was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. Surviving are his wife of 75 years, Betty Brutout Korb; three sons and a daughter-in-law, James Korb, Oklahoma; Kevin Korb and Debra Shelton, Rochester, and Jon and Dee Korb, Baden; four grandchildren, David, Jason, Elliott and Zachary, and a great-granddaughter, Harlee Korb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Korb; two granddaughters, Krista and Erin Korb, and a sister, June Hess. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Beth officiating. Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum. The Beaver County Special Unit will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the cemetery to provide full military honors.
