Nagpur: Songs featuring ‘angry young man’ Amitabh Bachchan and robust Dharmendra brought footfalls in hordes to Scientific Society Hall at music programme ‘Diamonds Forever’, organized by Shri Siddhivinayak Publicity, on Wednesday. And the singers too rose to the occasion by presenting songs in a befitting manner, much to the delight of the spectators.
Despite the weekday, music enthusiasts from every corner of the city gathered under one roof to enjoy their favourite tracks.

All eyes were on artiste Sagar Madhumatke as he won accolades for his superb singing and voice texture which resemble Kishore Kumar. Moreover, his audience interaction and playful gestures took his entertainment quotient a notch higher.

Catching all the attention with a hook, Madhumatke welcomed monsoon showers with a pinch of romance in his rendition of ‘Rimjhim gire saawan’, and it was heart melting.

15-year-old Shivani Joshi was the youngest artiste in the troupe. In her sixth show with the band, Shivani received thunderous applause for her duet with Madhumatke on ‘Tujhe dil mein baand kardoon’.

The playlist comprised some soulful numbers like ‘Dilbar mere kabtak mujhe’, ‘Aapki nazro ne samjha’, ‘Hum bewafa hargiz na the’, ‘Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein’ and peppy numbers like ‘Humko tumse hogaya hai pyaar’ and ‘Khaike paan banaras wala’, besides others.

The show concluded with friendship anthem ‘Ye dosti hum nahi todenge’ from Sholay.

The event was conceptualized by Sameer Pandit, founder of the organization. Speaking to TOI, he said, “Our production house is 16 years old and we started ‘Diamonds Forever’ theme only five years back. It struck a chord with music lovers and we have so far done 250 plus shows under it.”
