Notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi handles all gang activities, arranging everything from money to guns to logistics from the jail, his aide Sampat Nehra disclosed during his police remand, officials privy to the investigation have said.

Moreover, despite being lodged in Jodhpur Central Jail, Lawrence remains active on Facebook. In a Facebook post on June 11, Lawrence shared a YouTube link of a news report regarding Sampat’s recce of actor Salman Khan’s house in Mumbai.

Another of his Facebook accounts mentioned Sampat’s arrest on June 7. “All gang members are regularly in touch with Lawrence, who finalises everything. He handles all gang activities from the jail through WhatsApp, Facebook and other networking platforms, Sampat has disclosed,” a senior crime branch official, requesting anonymity, said.

Sampat also revealed that he was on a mission to eliminate Salman Khan on the orders of Lawrence.

On Monday, Panchkula crime investigation agency (CIA) had produced Sampatin a Panchkula court that sent him to seven-day police custody for his alleged involvement in two criminal cases in Panchkula. Sampat was booked in 2017 for opening fire at a police team and freeing his gang member Deepak from their custody at Panchkula civil hospital, Sector 6. He was also booked in 2013 for opening fire at a hookah bar near Morni, Panchkula.

Gangster’s two close aides held

In another breakthrough, the Kharar CIA rounded up two key associates of Sampat and seven others involved in several gang activities. “Sampat’s associates Aakash and Honey have been nabbed. However, his key aides Ankit Bhadu and Akshay managed to flee, minutes before we raided their hideout,” a CIA official said.

The official said the raid was carried out after receiving a tip-off from Rajasthan Police.

Nehra, Bhadu and Akshay are the gang’s sharpshooters, who are mostly assigned the task to eliminate targets. “The trio are accused of gunning down history-sheeter Vinod Jat alias Jordan at a gym in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, last month,” the official added.
