TTD legal notice to ex-chief priest of Lord Blaji shrine, MP

Press Trust of India  |  Tirupati

TTD, which administers the famous hill near here, has issued legal notices to former chief A V Ramana Dikshitulu and Vijaya Sai over certain allegations made by them against some temple officials.

The decision to issue the notices was taken during a recently-held meeting of the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) board, TTD sources told today.

The notices had been sent to the two persons as they had separately made allegations in the media which, according to the TTD, had maligned the image of the shrine and hurt the sentiments of the devotees as well.

The 69-year old Dikshitulu's tenure as chief came to an end last month after the TTD decided to fix the retirement age of priests at all temples administered by it at 65.

He had last month made the allegations of corruption against officials of the temple.
