It was a bad morning for a construction worker recently who told police he was bitten in the seat of his pants by a dog who then fled the scene with a young accomplice.
The man, a 31-year-old McCutchenville, Ohio, resident, told Upper Arlington police he was placing orange barrels in the road near Reed Road and Brandywine Drive at 7:30 a.m. May 30 when he noticed a boy he believed to be 10 or 11 years old walking his dog on a leash.
The otherwise typical morning took a turn for the worse, however, when the man said he grabbed a barrel from a grassy area near the intersection and "felt a pull on his pants and buttocks."
According to an Upper Arlington police report, the man turned to see the same boy he'd observed moments earlier pulling away the dog he was walking and yelling, "Bad dog."
The child and canine then ran north on Reed before they disappeared from sight.
The worker couldn't find any marks from the dog on his clothing or body, but reported the incident at the direction of his employer, who was not identified in the report.
Officers checked the area but were unable to find the dog or the child. The dog was described as a small boxer mix, brindle in color.
