ALBANY — A 25-year-old man was shot dead Tuesday evening in West Hill, city police said.

Officers were sent to a home on the 400 block of Livingston Avenue — located between Quail and Thornton streets — at 6:20 p.m. to investigate reports of a shooting and found the victim outside.

The man was treated at the scene by Albany firefighters and taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, city police said. His name will not be released until family has been notified.

No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation continues.
