LOPETEGUI'S LUGGAGE WITH SPAIN NATIONAL TEAM BADGE, SPANISH FLAG AND HIS NAME EMBROIDED STORY: Spain's sacked World Cup coach Julen Lopetegui flew out of Russia on Wednesday (June 13) saying he was sad at losing the job but refusing to say if he understood the decision.

Lopetegui, unbeaten in 20 games as coach, winning 14 and drawing six, was fired after being named as Real Madrid coach on Tuesday.

Spanish Football Federation president Luis Rubiales sacked Lopetegui on the eve of the tournament, citing his conduct in agreeing to become the next Real coach without informing his current employers.
