Joe Launchbury passed fit to start England's second Test against South Africa in major boost to Eddie Jones

Joe Launchbury’s surprise return to fitness left Eddie Jones on Wednesday night considering a back-row reshuffle that could see Brad Shields handed a starting place in the side to face South Africa in the second Test in Bloemfontein.

Jones will once again leave the confirmation of his selection until the last minute, only informing the players an hour before the public announcement later today.

Launchbury, who missed the  defeat in the first Test in Johannesburg, had been considered a major doubt for this match after again missing training on Tuesday.
