Padadhari farmer stabbed to death over land dispute

Rajkot: A 55-year-old farmer was stabbed to death by a resident of Khakhadabela village of Padadhari taluka in Rajkot district and his associates over a land dispute on Tuesday night.
Police identified the deceased as Ajitsinh Jadeja. The accused include Jagdishsinh Jadeja alias Jagubha and his five unidentified associates.

“Our preliminary investigation has revealed that the murder was the result of a land dispute pertaining to the sharing of commission in dealing. The actual details of the dispute will emerge after the arrest of Jagdishsinh,” said an official from Paddhari police station.

On the fateful night, Ajitsinh went to Jagdishsinh’s farm to discuss the land deal with him.

However, when he did not return till Wednesday morning, his son Chandrasinh Jadeja went in search of him and found his body lying in a pool of blood.

Police have booked Jagdishsinh and his associates on the complaint of Chandrasinh and launched a manhunt for them.
