Thirteen long hours

I was at the airport at 10am to catch the 12.15pm flight to Palermo last Friday. The flight was delayed due to strike action in Italy.

It was only at 5.15pm that we were informed departure would be at 1am, a 13-hour delay. At that hour, it was not possible go back home to Gozo and return on time. Eventually, they offered us a ‘meal’. No choice at all. A slice of pizza, water and a Kinder.

Not exactly a good choice for a diabetic. At 62, I had my first Kinder!

Utter breakdown in communication and no way to treat loyal clients.
