CHENNAI: The property tax demand cards of all the assessees (taxpayers) for the period from I/2008-19 to II/2023-24 are sent to the concerned zonal offices and necessary instructions have been given to the zonal officers and zonal assistant revenue officers, a release from the Greater Chennai Corporation said. These cards will be issued to the assessees.Under sections of the Chennai City Municipal Corporation Act, 1919, property tax cards should be supplied to the property tax assessees and it is mandatory for property tax payment.
The civic body has requested all the assessees under the GCC to collect the demand cards from the concerned zonal offices and pay property tax immediately.
