Liverpool transfer news: Mohamed Salah may stop Alisson from joining Reds - Marcotti
LIVERPOOL’s hopes of signing Alisson from Roma may have been damaged by Mohamed Salah’s breathtaking first season at Anfield, claims Italian football expert Gabriele Marcotti.

Alisson has been linked with a move to Liverpool since the January transfer window.
The Reds seem to be keen on signing a goalkeeper following Loris Karius’ nightmare Champions League final last month.
But Marcotti doubts Roma would want to allow another one of their stars to leave.
Liverpool signed Salah from Roma last summer for £36.7million and the Egyptian went on to score 44 goals in all competitions.
You could argue they already helped them out last year with Mohamed Salah. They don’t want to let another world-beater get away this soon
Roma have reportedly slapped an £80m price tag on Brazil No 1 Alisson and Marcotti cannot see him going anywhere soon.
“I think there is contract negotiation going on,” Marcotti told ESPN FC.
“From what I’ve been told, this is unlikely to get done before the World Cup, if at all.
“There’s still a lot of distance obviously between the two sides.

“Obviously the relationship between the two ownership groups, Roma and Liverpool, are very, very close, both Boston-based.
“But that said, you could argue they already helped them out last year with Mohamed Salah.
“They don’t want to let another world-beater get away this soon.
“I think from Roma’s perspective it makes sense to see what happens after the World Cup and what kind of tournament Alisson has.”
