NOIDA: Two businessmen were rescued from kidnappers during a chase in Dadri police station area on Monday night. The businessmen Siddhartha Jain, a jeweller, and Praveen Garg, cloth trader, were kidnapped in Gurgaon on Tuesday night when they had gone to meet a client Gaurav Saini.

Police said Saini refused to clear Rs 20 lakh dues, rather held the two persons with the help of some goons, and forced them in a black Etios and drove away on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

When the car reached Kot toll plaza to pay toll, the victims kicked the car’s door and it opened. The toll plaza staffs suspected foul play and informed police, who started chasing the criminals.

Gautam Budh Nagar SSP Ajay Pal Sharma said the criminals later abandoned the car and the victims in Bulandshahr’s Sikkandrabad area and fled away.

“The two businessmen have been safely rescued. We have launched a search to arrest the absconding criminals,” Sharma said.
