ADILABAD: The Adivasi protest against Lambadas is seemingly gathering momentum once again. On Monday, members of organisations of unemployed Adivasis staged a protest in front of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Utnoor project office. Their demands: removal of Lambadas from the Schedule Tribe (ST) category list and appoint local Adivasis in the posts otherwise occupied by the Lambada people.

Speaking on the occasion, Adivasi Hakulla Porata Samithi (Thuddum Debba) state president and former Boath MLA Soyam Bapu Rao reiterated that they would continue their agitation till the migrated Lambadas were removed from the ST category list.
